80 Questions Institute

Enrichment for the summer. Preparation for life.

The 80 Questions Summer Institue is a unique learning experience developed for parents in the Greater Montgomery, Alabama area (but open to parents everywhere) that unites parents and teenagers in a journey of self-reflection, personal expression,  and mentorship. In addition, it serves as fundraiser for outreach initiatives to youth detention centers throughout the year.

Oftentimes it can be challenging for parents to communicate to teenagers empathy and relevance.  This institute provides an opportunity for meaningful, transformative conversations to take place during the summer months, a time where many students lack the academic rigor and emotional stimulation conducive to sustaining momentum built during the school year.

For eight weeks during the summer parents and their teenage children work through a regimented series of readings and reflection questions from the 80 Questions book, as well as related activities  and weekly discussions via Zoom.  Through these aspects, parents can expect to learn more about how their child thinks and be better equipped to shape their perspective for success.
